They wanted to show off their t-shirts, so they had to open up their jackets on this chilly morning!
Then Cheyenne was sticking her identification sticker on her shirt.
Mr. Denim, out to watch the bus.
My big kids. Cheyenne looks like she just woke up. She had slept in until 7:00, despite the fact she took a 3.5 hour nap in Daddy's truck yesterday, then had a full night's sleep. I think this weekend's festivities wore her out.
Cheyenne reaching down to hug Lincoln.
And... the bus with the kids already on it. I was busy scrutinizing the driver's face to see who it was (not last year's awesome bus driver, unfortunately), and I forgot to get a picture of them crossing the road.
Elliott and I were both amazingly calm this morning (unlike Bethaney, who was pretty teary-eyed by the time Orianna made it on the bus.) I have been having teary eyes lots of times this summer, thinking of having to send my sweet little boy in to school... what if he hated it again this year? But this morning, he was a very normal little Elliott-- whistling while he got himself dressed, worrying about cleaning his glasses, being proud of getting himself dressed. Now we are anxiously awaiting the return of the school bus. I sure hope he's talkative!
As soon as I get a chance, I will put up pictures from our awesome weekend!

What a relief to have him be ok w/ going to school this year! I'm glad this year is going much smoother than last!
Checking in on the mommies today! Glad the send off went well! Can't wait to hear about the day. :) Love the picture of him whistling while getting dressed!!
Yes, phew to Elliott being happy to go to school! I was worried about him, and I'm so glad to hear that he was normal and calm. :) Looking forward to future updates!
I am so excited about Elliott! Apparently he has changed a lot in a year. Hopefully it stays easy. Orianna was really not wanting to ride the bus today. She has an hour ride in the afternoon. I sent a doll for entertainment.
I am SOOO anxiously awaiting the results of day 1, day 2, etc. PLEASE let it have gone well for him. (That sentence has to be illegal in some states.)
